Plastikes Karekles are a Rebetiko band, a form of Greek folk music, which although definitely having a unique Greek sound, can have influences from Middle Eastern countries, and also early Jazz bands from the USA.
Based in the South East of England the group have been part of a small team that organised a Rebetiko festival in the UK, something they are planning to repeat in 2016. For more information on this excellent group of musicians and future projects, see their website;
